Gold Dust Magic · October notes
Carry what is yours.
A small Naija After Dark intention.

There are evenings when belonging feels like several places at once. The place you came from. The place you live. The self you are still becoming.
You do not have to choose one and erase the others.
Three quiet lines
On a page, write one thing you want to carry from your roots. Beneath it, write one thing you are ready to leave behind. Finish with one thing you will make room for tomorrow.
Read the first and third lines aloud if you like. Then close the notebook. The next step can be small enough to take in the morning.
May I keep what gives me strength.
May I loosen what makes me smaller.
May I make room for what is mine to create.
This is an original personal reflection for Independence season, not a traditional Nigerian religious rite. Keep the words that feel useful to you.
